School Swimming
Our Year 3 & 4 pupils have swimming lessons at Hucknall Leisure Centre in the Spring and Summer terms.
During the lessons, the swimming teachers will identify if your child has met the National Curriculum requirements or whether they will need further swimming lessons.
In order for us to take the children, we always need parent volunteers to accompany the teachers and then to observe them at the side of the pool. If you feel that you could help on a rota, please contact Mrs Bland (Year 4) or the school office.
LA guidelines state that for swimming:
- Girls must wear a one piece swimsuit.
- Boys must wear swimming trunks or close fitting swimming shorts that do not have any pockets and they must be above the knee.
- Hair must be tied securely back or a swimming cap may be used.
- All jewellery and temporary tattoos must be removed before swimming.
